CCRG has a multi-disciplinary approach to research activity, which covers disciplines inclusive of design, film studies, Irish studies, literature, music, philosophy and theology. It now also includes the hard sciences and maths. The research themes of the members facilitate collaboration between various areas of Humanities, Business, and Science. Through external networks, CCRG researchers investigate the concepts of creativity and culture in the creative industries, NGOs, entrepreneurial investigation, social & higher education policy. The group members examine the theoretical principles of these concepts and then apply these to the individual disciplines. In addition, the group considers the interrelationship between creativity to give a better understanding of how to encourage creative thinking, user experience and imagination. It also looks at the role of creativity throughout history and how it helped to shape culture, inclusion, and diversity in all its forms. Central to the research initiatives and projects is a desire to encourage in-depth understanding of creativity and culture in humanity. The aim of the CCRG research output is to make for a better human life in a better world.
