The Department of Nursing and Health Care has a dynamic and energetic research environment that incorporates different disciplines within the area of health sciences. The broad research portfolio incorporates wide and different areas from cancer and palliative care, intellectual disability, mental health, women’s health, to social-related areas such as inequality of access. We believe in early integration in research of our undergraduate student body into our multiple MScs and PhDs programmes. The researchers in the department are committed to develop research projects that bring meaningful engagement in the community and affect policy change through social prescribing, evidence-based designed interventions, and engaging with healthcare providers, policy makers, researchers, international connections, and online environment. Fields of new research are at the forefront of topics with worldwide societal impact, such as marginalized groups, inequality of access, maternity service, menopause, and quality of health.
