Biography

Dr. Gautam Behl

Technology Leader, Formulation / Pre-formulation

Dr. Gautam Behl received his Ph.D. from University of Delhi, India and carried out his postdoctoral work at PMBRC WIT and College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science, Florida A&M University, Florida, USA.

His research has made significant contributions in four areas: (1) Development of lipid and polymer based nanocarriers for the treatment of ocular inflammation (2) Development of microemulsion and liposomal formulations for the treatment of Keratoconjunctivitis sicca. (3) Development of polymeric micelles and nanogels based carriers for treatment of cancer and development of theranostics (4) Treatment of skin cancer through development of novel ultra-flexible lipid based carriers.

Currently Dr. Behl is serving as Technology Leader on Enterprise Ireland funded Technology Gateway Program at PMBRC WIT, where he is working with pharmaceutical industry to develop creative solutions for specific problems encountered, e.g. materials characterization, impurity identification and characterization, compound stability, formulation development, method development and validation. He is also a member of International Association of Advanced Materials, Sweden and American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists.
