Biography

Victoria is a lecturer in the Department of Social Care & Early Childhood Studies. Victoria has a professional background in social care work, having worked in practice for over 10 years. Victoria has an MA in Child Youth and Family Studies and is currently completing a Doctorate in Social Science in UCC. Victoria's PhD research is in the area of young carers in Ireland and their lived experince. 

Victoria is currently a co-edititor of the Irish Journal of Applied Social Studies. Victoria's research interests are in children, youth and families, social care practice and mental health. Victoria is also a memeber of the SETU - Waterford Analysing Social Change, research group.
