Abstract

Partial crystallization of as-quenched Zr55Cu 30Al10Ni5 bulk metallic glass which is induced by oxygen was discussed. Optical microscopy, electron probe microanalysis, X-ray diffraction and electron backscattering diffraction methods were used. Results showed the negative effect of oxygen which induces partial crystallization during casting.
